I photographed Nikolai on an icy winter morning in the streets of Stellenbosch. This was his first professional photoshoot and he did extremely well. It makes a huge difference when a model is professional on set and prepares for the shoot before hand. This makes the shoot run smoothly with poses, outfits and locations – everything seems to work a lot faster and easier when each team member is prepared. Even the model can prepare by practicing poses and knowing their best angles.

This shoot was a dream to work on as we were spoilt with a crisp but soft winter light as well as great styling by Loren Henderson. After the shoot we warmed up with some Vida Coffees and snapped a few more pics before we made our way back to Cape Town.
