I have been collaborating with Ford South Africa for April and May to create beautiful content that relates to myself as a photographer and the car that I am photographing. You may have seen my previous post about the Ford Mustang 2.3L Ecoboost which I took to Robertson and photographed along the Cannas flowers, if you didn’t see the post, you may read it here.
This shoot was very special to me as I collaborated with a truly talented model and MUA and well as Melody, the paint horse who was rescued and rehabilitated at Alesso Stables. Alesso stables is privately run and rescues and rehabilitates horses with no specific outside funding other than donations to the wonderful owner, Carolyn, who has a passion for horses. Growing up having my own horse, this shoot was very close to my heart as it featured all of my passions in life: Horses, Cars, Fashion & the outdoors.
Jessica Ledger was an amazing model. Having worked with her a few times in the past, we got the shots quickly and caught up on news as we admired the car. La’eeqa Yunus did Jessica’s flawless makeup, I highly recommend contacting her should you need an artist. You can find her details here.
My concept for the shoot was to capture the cars reputation and it’s roots by photographing it with a “mustang” as well as capture it’s flashy, “dare to stare” looks by dressing the model in a sparkling sequin dress.
Thank you to an amazing team, with out your collaboration this would not be possible.
I still have many more car shoots which I will release in the next few weeks. Some amazing night photos with the Ranger Wildtrak, the Mustang at night, the Mustang and an airplane, the Figo at a city sunset… so be sure to watch this space and keep a close eye on the Ford South Africa Instagram account.
