I recently photographed Cindy Nell’s Glamour Magazine style diary, this was one of the gorgeous outfits she wore. I loved the deep purple against the velvet teal in this story. It created a glamorous yet casual story. We shot in Cindy’s home which is beautifully lit. I always prefer natural light to flash so I made use of the large windows and asked her to face the direction of the soft afternoon light. This specific angle created soft shadows, highlighting her cheek bones and collar bones.La’eeqa Yunus did an amazing job (as always) with her makeup – I had to get an action shot using the products she used, these types of photos always add to a story and make an outfit shoot a little more interesting.
