Portobello Road is a stunning little shop in Kenilworth, Cape Town that sells vintage clothing and local fashion brands. Apon visiting the store you can buy anything from accessories to clothing, shoes, odds and ends for the kitchen and more! After shopping up a storm Jane Banks has combined the perfect shopping experience by supplying a few colourful tables for her customers to rest their tired feet at. Portobello Road offers cakes, scones, coffees and a small lunch menu – all of which are amazing and well priced, I have tasted many dishes and can confirm that they are delicious.
I was lucky enough to photograph Jane’s favourite items in her store alongside models – Aerin M and Tanya N. Our shoot was styled and photographed using her vintage store as a prop, creating a fun story line that encourages the viewer to use their imagination. The setting was created by showing two friends shopping and having tea in Portobello Road, allowing the viewer to see themselves doing the same in the store with their best friend. Here are some of my favourite images from the shoot:
A Vintage Sunday
I would love some feedback and well as any requests about what you would like to see: more behind the scenes, my events that I attend, my work with Baked The Blog, do not hesitate to ask.

Hi! I’d love to see more behind the scenes, it’s always fascinating to see what really goes on in the photography world. But variety is a good thing 🙂 Looking forward to seeing more posts xx
