Weekly Wrap Up

Since my trip to Port Elizabeth I have had to play catch up on all my work, including my blog – as if I wasn’t behind on sharing my images with you enough! I have decided to display my weekly wrap up a little different today as I feel that a collage doesn’t really allow the viewer to interact with the image and its description.

I have done SO much before, during, and after PE so here is a wrap up of what I have been up to lately, enjoy:

I worked with FashionistaCT blog and Maddison Shoes for a lookpost shoot and completely fell in love with these. They are SO my colour right?! Have a look at all of the lookposts we did via her blog here. I will also be sharing my favourite shots from our shoot on my own blog soon.

Aisha and I were invited to the Mr Price #MrPMySummer event. I got some Ahhhmazing shots from that day, good lighting and great company makes a HUGE difference when capturing events! Please see Aisha’s post on our day here. I will also share a few of my faves from the day soon. (Thank you Trevor Stuurman for taking a pic of us).

I worked with PE blogger Londam-Holland Blog who I met in July this year and have shot with her whenever I am in Port Elizabeth since then. She is absolutely amazing and we work so well together! Check out her blog here. Also, check out our first shoot together in the howling PE wind for a flash back of the old post we did here.

On my very last day in PE I worked with Jozi blogger New Hipster Style. We created some really awesome shots and I cannot wait to show you all a few of my faves. Have a look at how we were able to shoot together in a different city as well as her outfit post via her blog here. She had the kindest things to say about me. I just loved working with her! What a sweetheart!

After a 7 hour drive from PE I rushed off to the Elle Style Reporter event where the winner was announced. Aisha wrote a lovely post about our time at the event. Please view it via her blog. I will write a picture post about it soon!!

Aisha and I popped into Urban Degree this week to have a look at their clothing. We decided to do an impromptu lookpost shoot in-store. Have a look at the competition they are running via Aisha’s Blog, it is super cool and there are still a few days left to enter!

My 7 days of charity began last weekend when I photographed the Rehorp horses (re-homing of race horses and ponies). It turns out, good photos get more adoptions so I decided to use my talent to help these lovely horses out. They are rescued or donated by owners who no longer need them for racing etc and Rehorp helps these horses find safe homes and loving families.

My sister’s store launched this weekend, it is based upstairs in Emerald Fox Tattoo Studio in Muizenberg. Her store is called What The Fox Studio and brands from Cape Town to durban can be found in it.

I captured some lovely moments at a charity event last Sunday. Reddam House was kind enough to donate their fields to some hundred under privileged children. We entertained them with games, jumping castles, nail and face painting as well as a huge braai and tons of sweeties and presents. (I realised that nail painting is definitely not my strong point and I should stick to photography, but nonetheless the girls loved their freshly painted nails by the girl who had blue hair!!)

This week I began my fundraising for the SPCA shoot called “Santa Paws” where owners could bring their pets and have them photographed with Santa Paws for a small fee which gets donated to the SPCA. This pic was a lighting test I did but I was more than happy to use it as an excuse to have a photo with Santa Paws! How cute is he!!?

xx
