Sometimes a shoot is more of an opportunity to meet someone than simply capturing some images and getting the job done! I enjoy my photoshoots where we spend most of our time chatting in-between shots whether it is getting to know each other or catching up! You can see the difference in the images where people are more comfortable in front of the camera and their true self is captured rather than modeling as a character… It is important to meet prior to the photoshoot or simply chat for a while before beginning your shoot so that both the photographer and the subject are comfortable and “on the same page”.

I met and photographed the ever so gorgeous Londeka M in Kalk Bay recently. We met early one weekday morning and began exploring the area and shooting at all of our favourite locations. Londeka had never been to Kalk Bay so I enjoyed showing her around and chatting about fashion and shoot ideas!

This was Londeka’s second shoot ever and she rocked it! She was such a natural and great in front of the camera. We captured some amazing shots together!
