Rocking The Daisies

I photographed a Rocking the Daisies inspired look with one of my most regular clients – Baked The Blog. This outfit was shot using my new 50mm f 1.4, I also invested in a polarized filter which is a DREAM to work with. If you didn’t read my previous post, read it now to find out what happened to my old lens – everything happens for a reason! Also, let me know if you notice a difference between this shoot and the previous one… I certainly do! Back to the interesting stuff:

For this look we decided to move away from the city streets and shoot in a field to create our very own RTD backdrop. I wanted to capture the festival feeling of freedom and happiness so I asked Aisha to feel and pose happily and wave her scarf in the wind which portrays this feeling we all get when we are in nature or in big open spaces.5 14 13 12 11 10 9 8 7 6 4 3 2I wanted to create a sort of dreamy effect so I shot through the flowers in the field, adding a subtle colour and blur which complimented both the outfit and the theme of the outfit.

I photographed details such as her hands running through the “wheat” to create a sense of adventure. I really enjoyed this shoot, it was great to be creative – trying to tell a story and create a feeling rather than shooting documentary/ New York street style in the city which is very easy and straight forward.

What did you think?
