I photographed Siyaam’s beautiful wedding before she jetted off to Singapore at the end of last year. Siyaam is an industry friend and I was both honored and excited to shoot my first Muslim wedding. This wedding was particularly interesting as they combined some Muslim and some Indian Traditions as the two families united.

The older ladies in the family were enthusiastic in explaining all of the traditions, what they mean, and why they carry them out which was very interesting; and my assistant and I learnt a lot! I loved how Siyaam combined a traditional wedding with modern ideas – she had the perfect balance!
