Rocking The Daisies

1

With RTD happening this weekend I thought it would be the perfect time to post my daisy shoot with Aisha Baker. She wrote a lovely post about our shoot, be sure to check it out on her blog.

Aisha and I will do anything for a good photo, so we trekked up the mountain to shoot in a little patch of daisies that we saw in amongst the burnt fynbos. Our locations always seem like the most amazing idea until we realize that in order to GET there, we need to make an effort – ALOT of effort. In this case, it meant screaming through the long grass dodging the burnt bushes with Aishas white pants and me feeling like I had spiders crawling all over me. Aisha and I have a ton of fun behind the scenes and this shoot in particular was filled with lots of laughter as Aisha suggested there were spiders around (my biggest fear) and I reminded her that there were no snakes that were “awake” at lunch time (she hates snakes and definitely didn’t believe my sarcastic tone). We both conquered our fears for this shoot and the results were SO worth the hike through the long grass. It also made a good behind the scenes story. 2 3 4 5 6 12
