This post is a little more personal as I reflect on the highlights of 2015. It was a busy year, with lots of travel to and from CPT, JHB and PE, I found myself traveling every month except September! My year started off with a few exciting shoots  as well as some events. In January, the following shoots stood out above the rest:

A fun shoot with The Black Ties started the year off, along with Bailey Shneider’s portfolio shoot at the beach front. A gorgeous wedding at Cape Point Vineyards was the beginning of my wedding photoshoots and a two day event with Ford for the launch of the Fusion had me shooting cars and fashion for two days.

February had me excited to test the Ford Eco Sport. An all round great city car that I instantly fell in love with. I wrote about it here. I thoroughly enjoy thinking of locations and scenes to photograph cars and woke up bright and early to get this shot.

March was my birthday month and I had a few shoots that stood out and got me even more excited for the year ahead:

I flew to PE for a Ford Focus launch that had us driving through some of my favourite scenic routes around PE. I attended the Bokeh FFF and was re-inspired to create edgy, exciting shoots.I photographed a long-time friend’s wedding and captured an Autumn lookbook for Vida YDE. Finally, one of my last shoots for Vide e caffe was a street style coffee shoot with the ever-gorgeous Londeka M.

April had me flying to JHB for a MR Price event where I captured one of my favourite images of Aisha which was later used in the Elle Magazine. I flew up again one week later for the launch of the HTC M9, an absolutely amazing phone that has an excellent camera (I have found myself leaving my canon at home many times this year and simply using my phone). Finally, I photographed this passionate couples wedding who continue to show support in my business, liking and sharing my latest work with their friends on social media. What a gorgeous evening it was!

May (below), was one of my busiest and most exciting months with regards to photographing well known personalities. I added a large amount of popular faces to my portfolio while visiting JHB on business – Shashi Naidoo, Fix (5fm DJ), Ryan Keys, the K2 Twins and local bloggers had me shooting two to three times a day while visiting! Billabong Pro surfer Tanika Hoffman and I did a different collaboration to her usual surfboard shoots and I had the sexy Ford Fusion for two days, “standing out” while driving to meetings and shoots that week.

In June I added The Threaded Man to my portfolio as well as top Makeup Artist, Gina Myers. Both are JHB based that I was lucky enough to photograph in my home town of Cape Town!

July’s highlight was CARS. I flew to Durban for the launch of the Focus ST where I ticked off a major bucket list goal by taking a car on a race track as well as being in a car, on a track, with a professional driver. I then attended my 7th VW Rally in PE (I fly up every year to follow it) but this time, I got to meet my favourite rally driver and spend the weekend with the Ford team.

In August I shot one of my top favourite personalities – Jeannie D and added Kamini Pather & Shashi Naidoo to my portrait portfolio. It was so inspiring listening to what these ladies had to say about love & life and I was totally inspired and ready for the second half of my working year. I then flew up to JHB for the second time that month to cover a Ford Conference which can be seen here and ticked off another bucket list goal when I got back to CPT with Ashley Haigh Smith as he took me in his rally car while testing for an upcoming event. I completely fell in love with his car and enjoy photographing it – I’ve found that just like people, some cars are more photogenic than others.

I was very excited to add Morgan Shelley to my portfolio in September. She is one of my  favourite models and I have always wanted to shoot with her. I also shot one of my dream shoots combining cars with fashion with Michelle Allen and the Focus ST. I also had the ST for a week and collaborated on my first night shoot. Not seen below, is my HUGE bucket list goal of going in Rally Champion – Mark Cronje’s – rally car. Thank you to Ford for organizing this!

  

October had me on a Ford Ranger launch 4x4ing just outside of Cape Town as well as on another flight to JHB to shoot for Media Prive where I had breakfast with Leanne Dlamini and photographed well known personalities while the team interviewed them.

November I added one of my WCW to my portfolio – the gorgeous Chiano Sky . An amazing opportunity with Voost SA came about where I sky dived, went in a helicopter and paraglided all in one day! I also attended the Ford Figo launch in JHB where I added zip lining to my list of experiences and finally, ended the month off with one of my biggest launches to date – The Ford Mustang. What an honour it was to be a part of this launch, even more, to be one of the first 20 people to drive the Mustang in SA!

December arrived so quickly I wasn’t ready for it! I ended the year off with one of my (personal) biggest shoot moments – shooting the two things I love most – fashion and cars but this time it was with Courtney Cousins and the new FORD MUSTANG!
