I recently shot for Cindy Nell. It was a gorgeous warm afternoon when we decided to shoot this midnight blue velvet dress.

With outfit shoots, I like to have an idea of a location that the client has in mind, and then on the day of the shoot we see how it works (with regards to the outfit, the weather, the lighting – never get your heart set on an exact location as it may not be available OR what you imagined on the day of the shoot).

On this particular day, we were en route to our planned location when we saw this cute little vintage truck — and then we knew we just HAD to use it as a prop. I loved the colours in this shoot as well as the contradicting look of glamour vs a vintage construction truck! I also love how the vintage truck gave the whole story an old, vintage-glamour feel…Thanks for a wonderful shoot, Cindy.
